An incredibly creepy and twisted film full of outstanding psychological and visual terror. The story starts off as disturbing and gets into absolutely insanely demented territory with a fantastic performance from Carla Gugino.
There are times in this King adaptation that shake you to the core and show you so many different aspects of horror. Mike Flanagan knows how to set terrifying tone and atmosphere with the best of them and should be considered a top horror director.
