Review of Geostorm (2017) by Linda M — 19 Oct 2017
I've come here to leave my review after I just watched the movie in the theatre. I also know that most people hated this movie, and I don't understand why. This is a fantastic movie. Why do I say that? First of all, it has an unpredictable plotline.
Second, when was the last time you see a blonde lady reversing a car with the President of United State at the back? That action sequence alone is worth paying the ticket for. Also, the international space station has a real international cast on it.
Yes, you guessed right. This time the terrorist is not your turban wearing Muslim, and scientists are actually working together to solve a problem. I also love the product placements this movie has. Electric cars, solar panels, robots, you name it, the ones that you don't normally expect in a big budget film like this all feature in this movie.
You have smart characters hacking the computer, you have sexy scientists who actually know what they are doing...Well, I don't think people have gotten the message from this movie right because it is so real that people hates it.
Storms and rising sea level are on the cards for the next twenty years, and it's interesting how the world is ignoring the main message this movie is sending: do something about it, and you can contribute a little bit to help slow down climate change.
