Review of George of the Jungle (1997) by Giovanni C — 27 Jul 2012
George Of The Jungle had so much potential of delivering good laughs, but it pretty much fell flat. It was not terrible, but not great either, it's just a mediocre Disney flick that provided a few good laughs on-screen.
I loved it when I was a kid, but I realized, as an adult, that it wasn't one of those movies where I would love it forever, from young to old. The story was pointless, and it wasn't one of those plotlines that is meant to be taken seriously.
The performance here was okay. I've never was a fan of Brendan Fraser, but he was quite decent with his character. Leslie Mann was wasted here, and she didn't deliver anything good on screen. George Of The Jungle was one of those movies where you loved it as a kid until you get older.
With that said, only kids would love it, but not adults.
