Review of George of the Jungle (1997) by Holden C — 18 Jul 2013
Rollicking fun for family audiences, styled after the silly 60s cartoon. Brendan Fraser is in top comedic form (and shape) as George of the Jungle; Keith Scott's 4th-wall breaking narration is a hoot - one of those rare cases where the humour should appeal to all ages.
Unfortunately, there isn't enough of it to sustain a full 90 minutes, so the film goes through some terrific passages followed by other flat ones.
