Russel and Monroe are pretty great here and there characters seem to call into question the masculine authority that can often obfuscate the complexity of the film. Indeed, both characters are rather manipulative and know how to control and illicit the desire of the masculine characters that surround them.
..but oh, that damn swim team scene...crazy!
