Review of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) by Liz K — 01 Jun 2013
I dunno why no one ever explained to Marilyn Monroe that she'd be infinitely more tolerable and more convincing as an actress if she didn't do the fake voice. But apart from the voice (which is magically less sticky when she sings.
crazy.) this is a cute movie with some genuine laughs. Elliott Reid is an awfully good looking guy with gorgeous eyebrows, and as with all old movies I just love the styles of clothes and hair and such and getting lost in all of it.
