Review of Gentlemen Broncos (2009) by Alan G — 24 Dec 2009
Smiled some. Laughed a couple of times. Groaned often. Hess seems to have an unconscious cruel streak; he likes to put goofy-looking people in front of the camera for our amusement. I soon grew tired of the scatalogical humor.
I liked the actor who played the lead character. In the end, Hess may be a one-trick pony, trying to remake Napoleon Dynomite again and again. When dealing with the absurd, less is usually more.
