Review of Gentlemen Broncos (2009) by Jeremy M — 11 Jul 2012
I am a fan of Napoleon Dynamite, I love its offbeat humor, I love Jermaine Clement, he (along with Taika Waititi and Brett MacKenzie) has to be New Zealand's biggest export in years and I love Sam Rockwell as a spaceman *cough* Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy *cough* but when this movie came on the tv last night, I found myself struggling to follow the story, not getting the jokes and generally not finding it very entertaining.
Alternatively the 'Yeast Lords' sequences have to be some of the most original and 'acid-trippy' sequences ever filmed, Jermaine is fantastic as always and Rockwell, well he just makes this film watchable.
So all in all, not fantastic, but not the worst thing to come out of Hollywood.
