Review of Gentlemen Broncos (2009) by Aaron H — 30 May 2010

I liked Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre...they have distinct art styles and a certain kind of tone that is awkward, but likeable. When I heard Jared Hess the director of those movies was going to make another film I was very excited.

Unfortunately, the movie had a limited run and was gone before I could see it in theaters. I realize why. Gentlemen Broncos is definitely not for everyone. Sam Rockwell and Jemaine Clement are excellent in the film and make up the majority of the laughs.

For me though I just couldn't connect with the main character...I felt like the movie was super rushed and could have developed a little better. I would say just give this one a rent!
