It's always a treat seeing the great Glenn Gould perform in his idiosynchratic way. It's also especially entertaining to hear him rattle on and on about his number one passion: music. This wonderfully made documentary pleases both newcomers and the die-hard Gould fan (like myself).

I've seen countless documentaries on this remarkable man and what I found most refreshing (and surprising) about Genius Within was how much time was spent on his personal life. Despite the film treading on certain material that has ben covered before, it was this intimate side that helps make this particular documentary a worth addition to the Glenn Gould archives.
