Review of G.B.F. (2014) by Eyal D — 10 Oct 2014
Most films playing on Netflix these days are way too easily accessible and yet hardly alluring. So, in order to stop staring at the way-too-many options of non-identifiable film titles and in need of a lighthearted LGBT fare, GBF rightfully fit the bill and, guess what, it was not all that bad once I recognized its intended audience: teens who can relate and enjoy this conventional morality tale with its very own sort of hipness.
Like other films in its genre, G.B.F. is often actually funny, at times offers sharp observations of the stereotypical variety but its end comes close to dulling your senses with its too much of an obvious thing.
