Is natural gas a clean energy? I think not. Consider the following facts and then go see this Academy Award nominee. There are 596 chemicals in the drilling fluid, many toxic and contain known carcinogens.
This fluid is shot underground into and adjacent to watersheds. Thousands of Americans' well water has been contaminated--they can light their water on fire! This technology is exempt from the Clean Water and Clean Air Act regulations.
Combined greenhouse emissions exceed that of automobiles.These 596 chemicals are also being polluted in the air. Infrared cameras reveal pollution not visible to the naked eye. 400-600 tankers of water are used per a well.
