Review of Gasland (2010) by John S — 03 Dec 2011
Good Documentary about the damage to drinking water caused by Hydraulic Fracturing.
Highlights the problems we face when searching for new sources of energy.
Problem is we have to get stuff out of the ground to burn it, how do we do it without fucking things.
Up for someone or another.
I feel sorry for the people affected by this problem, I do, and I question whether the ends justify the means.
Especially with the hundreds of truck journeys required to get the rigs up and running. But its a step in the.
Right direction with a move away from oil as our primary source of energy for cars.
The film is pretty well done for a budget documentary flick and Im impressed by the way the producer did his work. It is a bit one sided though, I have to say. The film could have looked at the situation in another direction.
