Review of Gasland (2010) by Z Z — 04 Apr 2012
Not fair, not balanced. Identifies a problem, but puts forth almost no effort to find an energy solution. Never head-on confronts the key arguments of the opposition.
The filmmaker goes to great lengths to style himself as an "average" American hipster, but when all that styling is brushed aside, we see he is, in fact, a wealthy land-owner. While he waxes poetic about the beauty of nature, the white elephant in the room is that his massive property's value will be substantial impaired if drilling occurs in his area.
