Review of Garfield's Pet Force (2009) by Kevin R — 26 Aug 2015
Let the fur fly!
A comic book super hero in Garfield's world known as Garzooka comes crashing to planet Earth with a story of needing help with Garfield and friends being perfect allies. Garfield and his friends are given special uniforms that allow them to change into super heroes and fight Garzooka's enemies.
"You have a sense of humor my interstellar brother.".
Mark A.Z. Dippe, director of Spawn, Halloweentown High, Garfield's Fun Fest, Reef 2, Gutsy Frog, Garfield Gets Real, and Ocean Quest, delivers Garfield's Pet Force. The storyline for this picture is clumsy and felt like an excuse to mix the super hero craze with Garfield. The animation was just okay and I didn't love the voices used for the characters.
"We're too tired...".
"...and the zombies keep coming.".
I randomly came across this movie on Netflix and added it to my queue to watch with my daughter. She was glued to it and watched it twice over the weekend. There were aspects of this movie that were okay, but this is definitely nothing special or worth adding to your child's DVD collection.
"With this I can mutate everyone in the universe.".
Grade: C-.
