Movie Review Written By Hector Fernando Andrade JR. II.

On Sunday June 18, 2006 my mom, my dad, my little brother and I went to the movie theather to go see Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties.

Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties is the live-action comedy movie sequel to the live-action comedy movie Garfield The Movie. Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties was directed by Tim Hill, produced by John Davis, Michele Imperato, Brian Manis, Davis Entertainment and 20th Century Fox, written by Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, based on the Garfield comic strips and comic strip chracter Garfield by Jim Davis and staring Breckin Meyer as Jon Arbuckle, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Dr. Liz Willson, Bill Murray as the voice of Garfield The Cat, Tyler and Chloe the twin Dacshound dogs as Odie The Dog and Billy Connolly as the villianous Lord Dargis and released to the movie theathers in the United States on Friday June 16, 2006.

So my mom, my dad, my little brother and I got our four movie tickets and our popcorn and our drinks of Coca-Cola and went into the movie theather and sat down in our seats with our popcorn and our drinks of Coca-Cola and watched Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties.

Story: The screenplay of Garfield A Tail Of Two Kitties was once again written by Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow. I geuss that when they were both once again hired to write the screenplay of Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties they both decided to retell the story of Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper and combine it with Charles Dickens' novel A Tale of Two Cities in Garfield style and and that is how Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow got the title Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties and Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow are successful with this idea for the screenplay of Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties. The story of Garfield A Tail Of Two Kitties in a small summary goes like this: The story of Garfield A Tail Of Two Kitties place in the city of Los Angeles Callifornia and London, England. Jon Arbuckle (played by Breckin Meyer) decides to go to London, England to ask his girlfriend Dr. Liz Willson (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt) who is in London, England to give a speech at the royal animal conservancy at The Carlyle Castle to marry him. The next day on his way to the airport Jon drives his Orange fat, lazy pet cat Garfield (voiced by Bill Murray) and his happy and energic Dacshound pet dog Odie (played by Tyler and Chloe the twin Dacshound dogs) off to the kneel but Garfield and Odie quickly escape from their cage and from the kneel and Garfield and Odie get back in Jon's car and Garfield throws all of Jon's clothes out of his bag and out the car window and hide in Jon's bag and Jon goes not know that Garfield and Odie are in his bag and Jon and Garfield and Odie drive off to the airport to catch an airplane to go to London England acticdentlly leaving Pooky and all of Garfield's favorite things behind in the kneel in the hands of the kneel desk cerk. Meanwhille in London, England in The Carlyle Castle Lady Carlyle had passed away last night and Mr. Hobbs (played by Roger Rees), Mrs. Whitney (played by Jane Carr), and Mr. Greene (played by Oliver Muirhead) are reading Lady Carlyle will to Smithee The Butler (played by Ian Abercrombie), the narfouious Lord Dargis (played by Billy Connolly, a royal cat named Prince the 12th of The Carlyle Castle (voiced by Tim Curry, a very English bulldog named Winston (voiced by Bob Hoskins, a bunny named McBunny (voiced by Rhys Ifans), two ducks named Eenie (voiced by Jane Leeves) and Meenie (voiced by Jane Horrocks), a goose, a bull, a ferret named Nigel (voiced by Greg Ellis), a pig named Sam, a Shakespereare quoting mouse named Claudius (voiced by Joe Pasquale) and to other people and animals. The will of Lady Carlyle says that the person who inherites The Carlyle Castle is Prince and then Lord Dargis comfonts Mr. Hobbs and Mrs. Whitney and Mr. Greene who tell him that The Carlyle Castle now belongs to Prince. Soon Lord Dargis comes up with a plan to get rid of Prince and then Lord Dargis puts Prince into a picnic basket and Lord Dargis throws the picnic basket in the river and the picnic basket heads to London England and then a black crow flies off to tell Prince's friends what has happen. Meanwhile Jon and Garfield and Odie ( who are still hiding in Jon's bag ) finally make it to London England the land of royals and Jon checks into a hotel and soon Liz finds Jon and Garfield and Odie zip out of Jon's bag and surprize Jon and Liz. Meanwhile back at The Carlyle Castle Prince's friends find out that Lord Dargis threw Prince in a picnic basket and in the river and Mr. Hobbs and Mrs. Whitney and Mr. Greene sucpect that Lord Dargis is up to something with the esate and so they send another member of thier investering team named Ms. Abby Westminister (played by Lucy Davis) to find out what Lord Dargis is up to with The Carlyle Castle. Some of the animals get into The Carlyle Castle to find out what Lord Dargis is up to. Smithee, Mr. Hobbs, Mrs. Whitney and Mr. Greene are told by Lord Dargis that Prince is missing Back at the hotel Jon and Liz decide to go to see what London England looks like and then Garfield and Odie decide to bust out of the hotel and go catch up with Jon. Pretty soon Garfield and Odie are soon lost in the streets of London and Smithee the butler believes he found Prince but it was really Garfield and Smithee takes Garfield back to The Carlyle Castle and Odie chases after the car but then he stops and then PrInce pops up in the sewer of London England and Jon finds Odie with Prince and mistakes him for Garfield and Jon and Odie take Prince and they go back to the hotel to give Prince a bath. Meanwhile in The Carlyle Castle Garfield meets Winston who tells Garfield that he is part of royality and the other farm animals meet Garfield and they know it is not Prince but they decide to protect Garfield from Lord Dargis. Garfield savors the royal treatment affoded by his royal subjects including an eager-to-please butler, a very english billdog, and two ducks a goose a bull a ferret a pig, and a Shakespereare quoting mouse and a lot of other animals. Meenwhile while having lunch with Jon and Liz and Odie Prince tries out and eats Lasagna for the frist time in his life and he likes it. Garfield teachs the animals how to cook and eat Lasagna and Garfield and the animals have BBQ swimming pool parties. However, Garfield's reign is in jeopardy. The nefarious Lord Dargis is told by Smithee that he found Prince lost in the streets of London England as he left the suit shop store and that Prince is back home at The Carlyle Castle where he belongs. Lord Dargis is determined to do away with Garfield so he can turn The Carlyle Castile into a spa resort and break down the barnyard and feed the farm animals to the spa resort guests.

As you can see the story of Garfield A Tail Of Two Kitties is like the story of Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper and Charles Dickens' novel A Tale of Two Cities but in my point of view the story of Garfield A Tail Of Two Kitties is splendidly told.

Acting: Garfield A Tail Of Two Kitties is the second movie that my mom and my little brother and I saw with Breckin Meyer and the thrid movie we have seen with Bill Murray and the second movie we have seen with Tyler and his sister Chloe the twin dachshund dogs and the thrid movie we have seen with Jennifer Love Hewitt and the frist movie we have seen with Billy Connolly and the second movie we have seen with Bob Hoskins and the frist movie we have seen with Ian Abercrombie and the second movie we have seen with Roger Rees and the frist movie we have seen with Jane Carr, Oliver Muirhead and Lucy Davis and the thrid movie we have seen with Tim Curry and the frist movie we have seen with Rhys Ifans and Vinnie Jones.

Breckin Meyer reprizes his role as Jon Arbuckle who is Garfield and Odie's owner and he is kind of a geek but Garfield and Odie let Jon live with him just the same. Jon is a good friend who keeps Garfield's and Odie's food dish full and the television cable and satellite bill paid and other than Pooky Garfield's teddy bear and Garfield's mirror Jon is Garfield's and Odie's best friend in the whole world. Jon's favorite things are Garfield and Odie and Jon's model trains sets and Liz the veterinarian and In Garfield The Movie Jon is no longer portrayed as being bad at dating or being a loser or a nerd or a nerdy and clumsy man with very little success in love and an entire romantic life being a series of cancelled or failed dates. In Garfield The Movie Jon Arbuckle is simply a shy guy who has a good relationship with Liz and even knocks-out bully's and mugger's and money snachers and burgler's and robbers and crooks and house intruders and thieves and bad guys and villains in one punch with his powerful right hook hand and in the Garfield comic strips jon has a job of being a cartoonist and woring for an insurance company and being an accountant. Jon's profession is never made entirely clear. Jon somehow manages to make enough money to keep Garfield well fed, which is an amazing feat by itself. He also seems to make enough money to buy new furniture, plants and have repairs done to the house after Garfield or Odie cause mayhem. In Garfield The Movie Jon's career profession job is unknown and in Garfield The Movie Jon drives a green Volvo S60 as opposed to his red sedan in the comics, cartoons, and other media. This also changed in Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties because in Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties Jon drives a blue Volvo V50 and in Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties Jon goes to London England to surrpize Liz and ask her to marry him.

Bill Murray reprizes his voiceover role as the voice of Garfield the cat who is our hero that feisty felline cat the cat that's all that. you know Garfield! Garfield's favorite food is of couse Lasagna and a few of Garfield's favorite things are a warm bed and the remote control to the T.V. and a full stomach. Garfield's hobbies are napping and snacking and resting and eating and sleeping there maybe more to life but Garfield hopes not and in the Garfield comic strip and Garfield and Friends Garfield is portrayed as an extremely lazy cat, seen mostly sleeping or eating and in Garfield The Movie Bill Murray makes Garfield more active Garfield can be seen dancing, running, jumping, and making a lot of other movement and in Garfield The Movie Garfield's mouth moves when he's talking. In the Garfield comic-strip and In the Saturday morning televison show of Garfield and Friends Garfield verbalizes his thoughts via thought balloons. Despite this, no humans can understand what he says in Garfield The Movie and Bill Murray is a Garfield comic-strip fan and Bill Murray succeeds the late Gerald Lorenzo Dave Music as the voice of Garfield the cat who succeeded Murray as the voice of Peter Venkman in "The Real Ghostbusters" the cartoon continuation of "The Real Ghostbusters" and Bill Murray is perfect to play the voice of Garfield the cat and Bill Murray's voice is similar to the late Gerald Lorenzo Dave Music who died on Saturday August 4th 2001 from complications related to lung and bone cancer at the age of 64 and since his death, Bill Murray generally replaces Gerald Lorenzo Dave Music as the voice of Garfield the Cat in the live-action Garfield Movies Garfield The Movie and Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties and coincidently, Music voiced Murray's character of Doctor Peter Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters and According to an article in Premiere Magazine, much of Bill Murray's recording sessions were done aboard the boat he was occupying while filming The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou in Italy. Apparently, Bill Murray wasn't impressed with the recordings he did while on land and in Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties Garfield goes to London England with Odie to surprise their owner Jon Arbuckle who is in London England to propose to his girlfriend, Dr. Liz Wilson. Garfield inadvertently switches places with Prince the 12th a royal cat who has just inherited The Carlyle Castle after his owner Lady Carlyle died and passed away.

Tyler and his sister Chloe the twin dachshund dogs both reprize and play the role of Odie the dog and what would Garfield say about Odie the dog? Odie the dog is playfull in a silly way and has a carefree outlook and is full of energy. Odie the dog is the new dog that Jon brought home one day and Garfield supposes that there are nicer things to say about Odie the dog. Garfield is just not going to say them and in the Garfield comic-strip Odie the dog was originally owned by Jon's roomate friend Lyman. Lyman showed up with Odie in tow and Lyman and Odie lived in Jon's and Garfield's house and latter Jon adopted Odie after Lyman had lunch with Jimmy Hoffa and then was written out of the strip after about five years (with the exception of a one-panel cameo appearance in the strip for Garfield's 10th birthday). and in Garfield The Movie Jon got and adopted Odie from Liz in the vet animal veterinarian hospital Center and Liz tells Jon to take care of Odie or he will not survive on his own and in the Garfield comic-Strip Odie is a a yellow, long brown-eared beagle with a black spot on his side who drools and walks on all four legs and in Garfield The Movie Odie is a dachshund dog and in Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties Odie goes to London England With Garfield to surprise their owner Jon Arbuckle who is in London England to propose to his girlfriend, Dr. Liz Wilson. Jon and Liz decide to go to see what London England looks like and then Garfield and Odie decide to bust out of the hotel and go catch up with Jon. Pretty soon Garfield and Odie are soon lost in the streets of London and Smithee the butler believes he found Prince but it was really Garfield and Smithee takes Garfield back to The Carlyle Castle and Odie chases after the car but then he stops and then PrInce pops up in the sewer of London and Jon finds Odie with Prince and mistakes him for Garfield and Jon and Odie take Prince and they go back to the hotel to give Prince a bath.

Jennifer Love Hewitt reprizes her role of Dr. Liz Wilson who is Garfield's personal veterinarian physician who works at the vet animal veterinarian hospital Center and when Liz is not pooking and prodding and inserting things Liz can be pretty nice. Liz is responsible for keeping Garfield in the fine from that drives ladies wild. Liz has been known to call Garfield "Lazy" sometimes but Garfield likes to call it "Deep Thought" Jon does not know it yet but Garfield thinks that Liz likes Jon almost as Jon likes Liz. In the Garfield comic-strip she has somewhat of a deadpan, sardonic persona, she never reacts negatively to Jon's outlandish and goofball behavior, even finding it endearing on occasion. Jon often attempts to ask her out on a date, but rarely succeeds. It Is significantly different from her movie portrayal until July 26, 2006 in which Liz finally admitted she had feelings for him. Liz repels Jon's advances and insisting on keeping the relationship professional and the two have been portrayed as a couple since. In Garfield The Movie Liz is portrayed as Jon's high school crush love interest and another fun fact about Dr. Liz Wilson is that the license plate on Liz's pick-up truck car in Garfield The Movie says and reads "Pet Doc" and that stands for "Pet Doctor"and in Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties Dr. Liz Willson goes fiying on an airplane to London England to give a speech at the royal animal conservancy at The Carlyle Castle.

If you are a Garfield fan and you read the Garfield comic-strips and you watch the Saturday morning television show Garfield and Friends and you watched Garfield The Movie than you will remember that I mentioned that that the characters of Happy Chapman, Wendall, Christopher Mello, Louis the mouse, Persnikitty (real name: Sir Roland) the cat,.
