Fail. It should have either been complete 2D Animation or complete 3D CGI. This does not work in live-action! It just doesn't. And I don't think the movie Garfield is a faithful nod to the cartoon strip Garfield.
Also, why Jennifer Love Hewitt gets cast in movies is beyond me...
