Review of Garfield (2004) by Ashli H — 29 May 2010
Critics hated this film, but I join the majority of Flixster users who say they liked it. I have always been a fan of the Jim Davis cartoon strip and I was quite skeptical to see it hit the big screen.
I like the fact they used a real dog for Odie rather than another CGI character. The chemistry between Jennifer Love Hewitt and Breckin Meyer was cute. I love JLH. This movie does a good job of capturing the indifference Garfield feels towards Odie.
This is a good film for the family if you are looking for a DVD this Memorial Day Weekend.
