Review of Gardens of the Night (2008) by Jj D — 20 Mar 2010
I felt as though huge points in this movie were missing. You never find out how the children get away or what happens to the guys who abducted them. The kids also hardly dwell on what happened to them.
I think the fact that you don't find out what happens to the guys who abducted them, although annoying to the movie-watcher, is smart for the film. It makes it more real because the kids don't know what happened to them either. Same goes for them not dwelling on what happened. The movie doesn't point back to them being abducted over and over as if to say this is why they are like this. The story was told in a very real way.
Zegers character felt strange and unnecessary although I think he played him well.
The actors in this did a very good job.
I'm not sure if I'd recommend this but it was alright.
