Review of Garden State (2004) by Xcv V — 16 Jun 2010
It's a decent film, however I do feel lost throughout it.
But maybe that's what Braff had intended, to connect the isolation of the film with the isolation of his character.
I suppose as far as performances go it wasn't half bad, everyone was likeable and weird enough.
Like I said earlier, the whole film kind of leaves you out in the dark and I got lost on what was going on, the one part I could connect with Braff's character was the party scene where he sits there and watches his mates make arses of themselves and he just goes along with it.
Final Verdict: The film in a nutshell is a form of Awakening in the character. i've been wanting to watch the film for ages, and may possibly need to watch it again to pick up on alot more detail, but I liked what I saw.
