Review of Garden State (2004) by Becca A — 12 Feb 2011
Great performance by Zach Braff. You can really tell that he put a lot of time into it. But at the end of the movie, you realize that it wasn't the character that was confused, it was the movie itself.
You pretty much ask yourself, "Why was this made?" This movie does no harm. All Zach Braff wanted to do is show that his talents can go further than "Scrubs" and he definitely proved it.
The first 15 minutes of this movie was great. Seemed like a very interesting character based film. Right as Natalie Portman showed up, it became very poorly paced and you just didn't give a shit. All in all, good movie to watch, once.
