Review of Garden State (2004) by Jeff H — 18 Apr 2011
Zach Braff, tired of being funny and liked on Scrubs made his own movie about a narcissistic whiner who's unhappy (cue the violin). Eventually he meets nutcase Natalie Portman who breaks down and cries over all her dead pets in her pet cemetery (no seriously) and together they learn to let the small stuff in life go while they dress up in trash bags and scream into giant holes with their stoner drop-out friends.
Zach Braff has the same bored look on his face, and considering he directed this artsy turd shows that he wasn't just bored and overpayed, but is actually trying to be DEEP. I'd rather watch Scrubs: Interns Edition than this drivel again.
