Review of Garden State (2004) by Tony B — 28 Jan 2013
Awkward, a bit eclectic with some uneven, random direction and style but enjoyable overall with some strong emotional as well as funny moments. I'm not a fan of Zach Braff, but impressed overall as he played triple duty writing, directing and starring in this film and I like the supporting cast he chose.
I've begun to really appreciate Peter Sarsgaard's acting in many of his films and have become a fan of his recently and I've always had a bit of a crush on Natalie Portman; she's just quirky and cute here, though her acting has never really been great and it wasn't here either but it was just okay as usual.
