Review of Garden State (2004) by Hung-Ya L — 16 Nov 2014
Garden State may come off as fake to most people but to me it's near perfect. Zach Braff gives a great performance for a guy who just wants to feel again, Natalie Portman brings a fresh twist to the manic pixie dream girl, and the script masterfully diverts between comedy and drama.
Oh yeah, and the soundtrack is hella rad.
