Review of Garden State (2004) by Johnb. — 07 Oct 2005
Thought it was the best film I had ever seen the first time I saw it around, but then I watched it again and it wasnt as good. I was so caught up in the quirky and original characters, setting and photography that I didnt fully follow the plot, which turns out is not as original as I thought, and conceited because it is semi-autobiographical.
Hilariously funny at times, original and overall a superb film, but dont watch it twice.
