There really isn't many good things about Gangster Squad, most of the great cast is wasted here. I did like Sean Penn for the most part and I pretty much love Ryan Gosling in everything he does, good or bad.
It was more violent than I even expected. Over the top, actually. The writing is lame & cheesy, cliched story. Average movie. Just average.
