Review of Gangster Squad (2013) by Cody C — 01 Nov 2013

It seems like so many people are judging this film based on what THEY think it should have been instead of what it actually is. While it isn't anything groundbreaking or enlightening (how many movies are these days), it is insanely enjoyable as nothing more than a fun, gangster-filled pulp story with great visuals, well shot action scenes, good acting, and a story that succeeds at what it was trying to do.

If you are looking for L. A. Confidential (which doesn't make much sense because the trailers were pretty honest about what this film was), then you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a fun time at the movies, Gangster Squad will surely deliver.
