Proof that Sean Penn should stay in roles that don't force him to go away over the top. Proof that Josh Brolin can only play one type of role that doesn't force him to act a lot. Proof that Ryan Gosling is limited.
And proof that just because you have a true story plot for a gangster movie that you can actually make it bearable to watch.
