Review of Gangster Squad (2013) by Kyle C — 26 Jul 2015
Good god is Nick Nolte old. This was actually quite a surprise at how good it was. I mean, it wasn't spectacular, but it was definitely entertaining. The acting wasn't great, with the exception of Sean Penn, who was fantastic, this movie relied on it's violence and shooting, and there was plenty of both.
Josh Brolin was fairly strong here too but seemed kind of dis-interested a few times, but for the most part, this was a good ol' Gangster flick. RECOMMENDED for people that want to see people shooting other people, a lot, and for Sean Penn's performance.
