Review of Gangs of New York (1938) by Andrew P — 12 Feb 2012
Daniel Day-Lewis is very good in this, but it falls flat in a lot of other places. Some of the scenes were just too rediculous for me to take seriously. I don't think it's exactly a bad movie, but a very flawed one.
Scorsese can do much better.
