Review of Gandhi (1982) by Kristen D — 07 May 2009
It got less interesting as it was less about Gandhi and more about his ideals and politics. Not that politics are boring, but they become boring when the film starts out so strongly about the character of Gandhi and turns into a politically driven foray supplemented by wise words from Gandhi and an overuse of his "eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" quote - that almost pushes the verge of cheesy.
Dare I say this film could have been shorter?... er.. yes. it could have, but it's undoubtedly epic and historical and great no matter what I say, which is why i'm able to say it.
