Review of Gandhi (1982) by Carolyn G — 15 May 2009
This just didn't pull me in. I remember Ben Kingsley winning the Oscar for this and the flick totally cleaning up awards but it really did nothing for me. I wanted to love it and I just didn't, and not because Gandhi wasn't a completely fascinating person (who met a tragic end).
I simply wasn't engaged by the film version of his life.
