Review of Gandhi (1982) by Ian P — 24 Jul 2009
In many ways a latter day Christ. Gandhi realised that immortality has nothing to do with wealth and status but pure honest simple truth and humilty. The occupation of India by the British was wrong and fundamentally unjust.
Gandhi as a Libran would have felt very strongly against this, as a British educated lawyer he had the means to oppose this injustice. Brilliantly put together and established Richard Attenborough as a truly great director.
His place as a great movie actor by this time was already established. Sir Ben's performance is unsurpassed nobody could do this better. The best in British in every way.
