Review of Gandhi (1982) by Jo B — 11 Nov 2009
After wanting to see this film for a while, I finally rented it, and I am so glad that I did. It was brilliant, Kingsley was stunning, especially considering this was his first big film. A film telling the story of a real life great man who changed the world or the better.
I must say that the film was rather long, but after watching the superb bonus feature disc, I soon understood why. Everybody should see this film, it still speaks volumes about the world and those who inhabit it. A great message for anyone of any age with any background.
I cannot forget Dickie Attenboroughs direction either, I very much enjoyed his interviews, what a lovely story behind the making of the film.
