Review of Gandhi (1982) by Tatiana B — 09 Sep 2010
Brilliant telling of the story of Gandhi, a man that literally changed the world in his own lifetime and gave the British Empire no end of grief until it left India. Ben Kingsly does an outstanding job as the lawyer turned activist turned father of a free nation.
Gandhi is a long movie, but I think it is rightfully so, and although I was bored trying to watch it as a child, as an adult I think it is a great telling of an important story and it was worthy of the all the oscars it won because of it.
