Review of Gandhi (1982) by Desiree W — 24 Nov 2013
The story of Mahatma Gandhi was quite intriguing to me. Gandhi is such an inspiring man and the story played so well with the true and honest man he was. The way he interpreted the world and his views are unique and so intricate in the sense that many leaders of this world have applied his concept.
Gandhi was the father of India. He freed India from the hands of the British. He was a lawyer in South Africa who was unfortunately assassinated at the age of 78 on 30 January 1948. This film is a wonderful summary of the life of a man who is counted one of the greatest that have lived.
A quote that I find it very meaningful from the movie: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind," - Mahatma Gandhi.
