Review of Game Change (2012) by Jeffrey M — 28 Mar 2012
Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson deserve awards for their performances. Moore has done the impossible and humanized, and possibly brought a small piece of understanding to Sarah Palin. She becomes a figure that one can sympathize.
Used as a token, led by a leash, forced to become someone who must fight against her own beliefs, Moore is superb in capturing the depression, and the decent into madness, which almost turns her into a horror movie monster.
At the same time, you have Harrelson playing a sort of political Frankenstein. He begins to see what he's made, what he's unleashed, and what he must try to control before it destroys everything.
Harrelson is just unmatched, a force to be reckoned with and delivers some of the best lines in the film.
