Review of Gambit (2012) by Josh C — 14 Jul 2014
It fluctuates between witty humour and fart jokes, awkward moments and boredom. The characters are at times eccentric and likeable, yet they are built from cultural stereotypes which are comically limited.
The story erodes pretty quickly and turns into a homage to the 1997 Mr. Bean film, and that is when I started looking at my watch. Throw in a lion and Alan Rickman's bare arse and that about wraps it up.
