Review of Gambit (2012) by Laurie T — 28 Dec 2014
Enjoyable yet incoherent. A lot of stellar actors can't pull its chestnuts out of the fire. I've ordered the 1966 version to see if it's any better. Firth and Diaz are always likable, Tucci and Rickman over the top, but it's no use.
Objectionable Japanese stereotypes. Limited art history knowledge. This dawg won't hunt.
