A rather interesting little lost gem of a film, GAMBIT plays with all the conventions of the "heist movie" formula in some incredibly clever ways. Both MacLaine and Caine were at the top of their game in this one, and I'm not sure why the film isn't a more talked about one from their respective careers.
The opening 30 minutes of the film is also a downright brilliant fake-out for just about everything that follows it. Right now this flick is currently available on Netflix instant queue, so I highly recommend checking it out if you're at all a fan of heist movies, or just clever writing.
