Review of Gallowwalkers (2012) by Martin H — 08 Sep 2015
Death ain't the worst thing that can happen to you.
A man is a former adopted child who witnessed a heinous act and was both blessed and cursed with the ability to hunt down those responsible and bring justice. He has aligned the ultimate showdown but will require a young apprentice to help him with his efforts. Together, they square off against a gang of the undead.
"I'll need a shirt.".
Andrew Goth, director of BUSTED and Cold and Dark, delivers Gallowalkers. The storyline for this picture reminded me of Priest in some ways. This is a science fiction futuristic western that has a very "Blade out west" action sequences. The acting is mediocre and the cast includes Wesley Snipes, Tanit Phoenix, Kevin Haworth, and Steven Elder.
"Trouble with the damn is, they never stay put...".
This was recently added to Netflix so I decided to randomly add it to the queue and give it a shot. It was okay with some worthwhile scenes but a pathetic plot that was clumsy and ridiculous in parts. This is a below average addition to the genre that is worth watching only if nothing else is on.
"You my whore or what?".
Grade: D+/C-.
