Review of Galaxy Quest (1999) by Rob B — 04 Feb 2016

A great cast in nontypical roles, excellent production values, tongue-in-cheek satire, excellent but not overdone effects that hold up just fine, a genuinely clever, interesting, and downright funny plot - I can't fault a thing.

Well, except that overly-badly-acted intro scene meant to introduce the 'show'. Unforgettable scene that never fails to make me laugh - Signourney Weaver's hysterics at having to dodge through the 'choppers' that exist in the real ship only by virtue of having been written into an episode of the show .

.. "whoever wrote this episode should die!". I die laughing.
