I was fascinated by the concept and the incredible special effects add a lot to what the story has to offer. Unfortunately that's where Gaia's strengths end.

It's still an interesting and very atmospheric experience. Superior to many of the more simplistic horror films you can find nowadays, but its best qualities don't make up for its greatest weaknesses.
