When a popstar of Lady Gaga's magnitude launches a documentary, everyone is sure to witness a manipulated version of a magical tale that shows how perfect life is when you're famous, but not in this one.
We are invited to dive beyond the shallowness of fame to meet a consummate singer-songwriter and performer in addition to her wigs, high heels and outrageous artistic concepts for which she became known.
Lady Gaga reveals herself to be a complex creature, who is strong in her vulnerability as she faces physical and mental illness, solitude, doubts and pressures in her life and career. A leader in her business, she's a woman who knows exactly what she wants, but she's still a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter and a friend's friend, a sensitive and empathic human being who is aware of the world as a whole.
Definitely worth watching whether you're a fan, a curious person or simply someone who is willing to meet a true artist on life's stage, a person who perhaps highest quality is to be inspirationally imperfect.
