Review of Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs (2008) by Danny B — 31 Jul 2008
Very little reach, if you never liked Futurama, you wont like this new series of movies that is being released. However, for fans of the series, its fun to have new material.
The films are a continuation of the series' themes, same commentary about human culture and technology, with the same low level of comedy, which, of course, is far inferior to the Simpsons.
David Cross' character is quite funny and the storyline involving him is indeed unique and funny.
Fans of the series will like it, no one else will. My favorite part of Futurama is that no other series has ever seemed so aware of their own limited appeal and popularity.
