Review of Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder (2009) by Bill S — 15 Jan 2012
The last of the four. It was half story and half swan song. I think the writers weren't sure how to write this one. They weren't sure if it was the end, or if they should continue. It wasn't as good as the other three movies, and didn't really fit into the show. Yeah, the plot lines all jive but it's not the same tone.
I highly anticipated this one, especially after Bender's Game. Maybe it was the anticipation or the possible finality or the bar being set by the series and the previous movies. I felt empty at the end. Not empty, but not complete. Like missing three pieces out of a 500 piece puzzle.
