So we are at the third Futurama movie bridging the gap between the old series and the new series. From the decent but slightly contemptible Bender's Big Score and the decent Beast With a Billion Backs, I thought that these movies would be smooth sailing. I was so very wrong with Bender's Game...so very wrong. So let's get this over with as we play Futurama: Bender's Game.

The Professor and Hermes are tired with Leela's temper and especially with an incident that wasted precious dark matter, fits her with a shock collar to curb her violent tendencies. But then they realize that Mom, the ruler of all the Dark Matter, has been fudging the numbers and The Professor vows revenge...yet again. Meanwhile, Bender gets into Dungeons and Dragons especially when he learns to imagine things but he then goes insane. But things turn weirder as through some WACKY HIJINKS, most everyone goes to an alternate universe where Dungeons and Dragons is king along with Bender!

So this is a very loving tribute to Dungeons and Dragons, obviously, and to a lesser extent The Lord of the Rings. However, I never played Dungeons and Dragons and despise all who do but I did see the movie. If it wasn't for Jeremy Irons, I would have wished I didn't. So with that said, the Dungeons and Dragons part of the movie is so very boring to me. Nothing works there, nothing is funny and Zoidberg is wasted here. If Zoidberg can't make me laugh then there isn't much hope for anything else.

And me being bored doesn't happen with that D & D segment but the whole damn movie is boring. The few of the jokes work and only then it was usually Mom slapping her idiot children that made me chuckle. So if the real Zoidberg still can't make me laugh then this movie is truly screwed.

This movie sucks and you are a horrible, horrible nerd if you do like it! The humor is pretty much non-existent. The political and environmental messages are almost as bad as post-cancellation Family Guy. I refused to watch this ever again and the only times I have vowed is that is with Jurassic Bark and Time Keeps on Slipping and only then cause it was too depressing. I would say that is good for D&D players but those aren't people, just smelly nerds. So if you're a normie, go watch something that's worth nerding over like Star Wars or Harry Potter or sweet loving porn!
