Review of Futurama: Bender's Big Score (2007) by Mattovo T — 23 Jan 2010
Futurama is a series with enormous heart and adventure so for me it was a massive blow when it was cancelled in 2003.
This movie is the first of the four and for me this was certainly the best from the four. Bender's Big score has a perfect balance of comedy and emotion and it in places it brought a tear to my eye. ;).
Maybe it helps that its story involves time travel and the show's enduring theme of unrequited love; or maybe this just exposes my own nerdiness in how I'm inherently drawn to these things. But all-in-all this was a flawless effort and it features all of things that made Futurama great.
Thanks to DVD sales on June 9, 2009, 20th Century Fox announced that Comedy Central had picked up the show for 26 new half-hour episodes that will begin airing in mid-2010 with the full original cast.
