Review of Fury (2014) by Jiggs_Casey — 23 Oct 2014
Historically, the things depicted in the movie DID happen, if not ALL to ONE tank crew . . . and much of the tactics and battle scenes are inaccurate (albeit, gripping) . . . but hey, it's a movie. I think it would help if many of the negative reviewers saw the film with someone who could explain the history and meaning of some of the scenes to them.
Sure, I saw a lot of the same formulaic things that have been criticized, but when put in context to actual events, these things will make better sense. The movie gets the looks right, it is well acted and it presents a very interesting storylline which presents may opportunities to teach a thing or two about not just WW2 but war in general.
