Review of Fury (2014) by Trevor J — 12 May 2015
Not your run o the mill war movie, over the years war stories have taken a personal turn. One is presented with a known person who's actions made them something of a hero or at the very least someone that in war performed something that perhaps made them memorable or revered.
This story shows another side to heroism, it shows an American tank crew in the closing days of WWII and the personal costs/damage accumulated on all, they are not likable characters, that is obvious but you can see why, especially when you meet the meek, timid Norman, who very quickly descends into hell while learning that all there is in this life is the 'why' we do things rather than the what.
I loved it. Outstanding story.
